Payment Method
We accept Cash, Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Money Orders. All sales are final.
Deposits and Payment
For Graphic Design items including print work, logo design, digital artwork such as social media marketing ads and online video and banner must be paid in full at the time of the request. Work commences when full balance is received. Requests can be made via email, in person or online. We do not accept requests over the phone or via text messages.
PLEASE NOTE: STS MEDIA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPOS &/OR SPELLING ERRORS. (Customers will need to proof read your work any and all graphics work). Reprints are done at the cost of the client.
Revisions on Graphic Designs
Small revisions can be made after we provide the initial mock up. We allow TWO rounds of small revisions, after that, we will bill per additional round. We try to get as much information from you as possible to get the first mock-up correct.
For Web Design 50% deposit, 50% upon completion. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due, after a quote is issued and approved by you. The balance of the 50% is to be paid at the end of the project, once project is approved and before the final package is delivered/uploaded. Work commences when deposit is received.
Consultation / Training / Appointments
Consulting & Training is by appointment only. We offer 1 hour of consulting for your design project free of charge at the beginning of the design process. Additional time whether in person or via phone will be billed $45.00 per hour. One hour deposit is required to setup the time/appointment. Please keep in mind that the deposit is non-refundable. Same day appointments and expedited scheduling may be subject to additional fees.
Cancellations
You can make cancellations at any time. Please keep in mind that the deposit is non-refundable.
Contact
You may contact us at thru our website smellthesmoke.com or via email at info@smellthesmoke.com. We do not accept work request thru text messages or social media messages. Nor do we schedule appointments for consultation, training or graphic request thru text messages or social media messages. Office hours are M-F 10am – 6pm.
Images & Stock Photos
It’s optional to provide your own images. We work with our own gallery of stock images at no extra charge to you. Fees may apply in specific cases (large quantity requests, special licensing for photos, etc). You will be advised of these fees after consultation of your project.
Search Engines and SEO
Outside of the keywords and basic SEO meta tags we incorporate in your site, we are not responsible for search engine promotion or marketing of any kind.
Our Portfolio and Website Credit
We reserve the right to add completed projects to our portfolio. If a full web design and development project was completed by our studio, in most cases a credit “site by STS Media” will be included at the bottom of your website. In certain cases, our website credit will not be posted due to privacy purposes and we respect that. Please notify us if this is the case.
Copyright for Logo Design
Client will have the exclusive right to the logo design chosen. All logos are made with no stock images, are 100% custom and 100% vector (which means that you can scale to any size without losing quality). Any concepts that are not chosen and paid for will be a violation of STS Media’s rights if they are used elsewhere.
Copyright for Web Design
Web designs are custom-created and exclusive to each business. Note that we reserve the right to use stock images, as required, as part of your web design template. Any concepts that are not chosen and paid for will be a violation of STS Media’s rights if they are used elsewhere.
Website Content From You
Upon each website project we begin, a web agreement form is given to the client to sign along with a list of items needed out to help the project run more smoothly. WE ASK THAT ALL WEBSITE CONTENT IS GIVEN before we start the coding stage of your website. This not only helps firm up an accurate and well laid out design mockup, but it helps to speed up the process as well and get your website launched. We are not responsible for proof-reading your content, so please make sure there are no errors when sending it over.
Printers
We work with third-party printers that we trust and are affiliated with. In the rare case that there is a printing issue, we will work with the printers to get it resolved, but any costs incurred will not be at the expense of STS Media.
Please note that some print materials may not show the exact same color that is showing up on your screen. This is due to the fact that each computer screen tint can be different. Any reprints required will not be at the expense of STS Media. We recommend providing Hex #s or Pantone colors if you need exact shades matched up.
Final Artwork File Delivery
Final artwork files are emailed in a zip file. Please notify us if there is a special request.
Taxes
All work, including print shop items, are subject to a 8% sales tax fee for Ohioans only. Clients outside of Ohio will not be charged tax.
Contract with STS Media
By entering into a project with STS Media, you are consenting to be bound by the terms of these policies and procedures. Links to our policies and procedures are posted on all our quotes and forms, as it is important to read them (and anybody else’s policies, as well) before beginning work.
